2 children die in wall collapse

RAWALPINDI, March 16: Two children were killed while five others injured when a bricks’ wall collapsed. The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Civil Lines police on Friday, police and hospital authorities said.

A group of seven children, aged between 7 to 10, were playing on a piece of land when the wall build around it collapsed with a bang on the children.

On hearing screams of children trapped under the debris, a large number of people from neighbouring houses rushed to the scene and pulled out the children and shifted them to hospital.

On reaching hospital, the two children, Danish Hussain, 7, and Osama Babar were pronounced dead.

While the five other children who sustained injuries were admitted to the hospital where they are said to be in stable condition.
