Rs1 million robbery

LAHORE, March 13: Four robbers took away cash and valuables worth Rs1 million from a house in Iqbal Town on Tuesday.

The outlaws barged into the house of Haji Mukhtar in Nargis Block and fled after looting Rs169,000 in cash, 56-tola jewellery and four cell phones.

Two armed men entered a general store near Wapda Chowk in Shahdara and took away Rs10,000 in cash, calling cards worth Rs7,000 and four cell phones from the owner and the customers.

THEFT: Thieves broke into the house of Talib in Pak Town, Factory Area, and sneaked away with jewellery and valuables.

Some thieves entered a house in Makkah Colony, Naseerabad, and made off with valuables.

STOLEN: Two motorcycles were stolen from Mughalpura, as many from Gulshan Ravi and one each from Model Town, Old Anarkali, Qila Gujjar Singh and Racecourse areas.

Two cars were driven away from North Cantonment and Old Anarkali areas.
