Landlord robbed of jewellery, cash

LAHORE, March 10: Robbers took away gold jewellery, cash and other valuables from the house of a landlord worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in South Cantonment area here on Saturday.

Police said three gunmen barged into the Cavalry Ground residence of Faisal, a landlord of Sargodha, and held the family at gunpoint.

Faisal told police that the intruders collected Rs250,000 in cash, 40 tolas of jewellery, two cell phones and two video cameras and managed their escape.

A case was registered.

Four robbers on a car came to a chicken tikka shop in Jehangir Park in Kot Lakhpat, held owner Gulzar at gunpoint and took away Rs250,000 in cash and a cell phone.

Six robbers came to flour shop of Miraj at Rivaz Garden, held him at gunpoint and snatched Rs50,000 in cash.

Three car riders reportedly kidnapped a restaurant manager, Suleman Jamshed, drove him to Sukh Chen Club, thrashed him and snatched Rs22,000 in cash and a cell phone from him.

They drove away after dropping him outside the club.

A man was deprived of Rs70,000 in cash in Mughalpura area while Iqbal of a cell phone near New Chauburji Park.

Thieves drove away with the car (LWQ-1371) of Nadeem Azhar from his residence in Shahid Colony.
