LAHORE, Feb 22: The Lahore Development Authority has been instructed by the district Nazim to provide best civic facilities to the people in order to make the provincial metropolis a centre of information technology.

Nazim Mian Amir issued the instruction while making payments to owners of the land of the LDA’s housing scheme — Jubilee Town — near Thokar Niaz Beg here on Friday. He said town pla-nning and expansion of the city needed to be carried out in accordance with the modern (technological) developments and ideas.

Meanwhile, the Nazim also said the city government would ensure completion of the master plan for the city within the stipulated time. He said the government would focus its attention on remoter and backward areas that had been neglected in the past.
