PESHAWAR, March 8: The Paraplegic Centre held a function for people with spinal cord injuries at the Tatatara Park in Hayatabad on Thursday.

The chief executive of the center, Syed Mohammad Ilyas, Dr Kamal Afridi and Zahoor (physiotherapist) were present on the occasion.

During the function more than a dozen people on wheelchairs took part in different games, including basketball and volleyball.

It may be mentioned that the Paraplegic Centre, taken over by the health department in 1996, has been arranging such activities for paraplegia regularly to encourage their participation in all kinds of activities.—APP
