PESHAWAR, March 7: The federal government has appointed NWFP Board of Revenue Member Amjad Nasir as joint secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

A notification issued here on Wednesday said that the provincial government had relieved Mr Nasir from his duties, enabling him to assume his new assignment.

Through another notification, Kohat Development Authority project director Jan Ali has been posted as director-general of the Galiyat Development Authority.

NWFP Irrigation Department deputy secretary (technical) Mohammad Naeem Khan has been transferred and posted as manager, Small Dams, in Fata Development Authority and Malakand Irrigation superintending engineer Kamal Jehangir has been posted in his place.

The provincial government has cancelled the posting and transfer orders of Fakhre-i-Alam (PSC SG BS-17) issued on Feb 16 and allowed him to stay in the health department as senior planning officer.

The government has also posted the chief secretary’s principal staff officer Abid Majid as additional secretary in the establishment department. He would continue holding the post of PSO, it was notified.
