RAWALPINDI, March 7: A high-level delegation of ICI led by its CEO Dr John David Gibson Mcadam called on President Pervez Musharraf here on Wednesday.

According to a press release during the meeting the CEO informed the president about various ongoing projects of ICI and expansion of Khewra project and increase in investment.

The president welcomed the delegation and appreciated their move for investment in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan had a booming market for industry and there was a great scope for investment. The president urged ICI delegates to invest more in various sectors in the country. He further remarked that the government was committed to facilitate all investors and would ensure the provision of every possible assistance and incentives to them.

Mr Mcadam lauded the economic reforms which had not only helped stabilise the economy but also served as a tremendous incentive to attract valuable foreign investment. He stated that there was an excellent investment-friendly environment in Pakistan.

Minister for Privatisation and Investment, Mr Zahid Hamid and Federal Secretary Commerce Syed Asif Shah were also present during the meeting.
