LAHORE, March 6: A meeting of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal’s (MMA) supreme council has been called in Islamabad on March 17 to decide its agenda for a two-day multi-party conference being hosted by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in London on March 24.

MMA Information Secretary Pir Ejaz Jhashmi told Dawn on Tuesday that the alliance would make a meaningful contribution to the conference in London by making certain concrete proposals for the opposition’s future line of action. The supreme council has asked the component parties to send their proposals which will form the basis of an MMA resolution for the conference.

PUNJAB meeting: The Punjab leadership of the six-party religious alliance has called for a meeting on Wednesday to discuss certain proposals for the conference in London in addition to preparations for the next elections. MMA Provincial President Liaquat Baloch will chair the meeting to be held at Mansoora, the Jamaat-i-Islami headquarters.
