Three vehicles stolen in Pindi

RAWALPINDI, March 4: Burglars and thieves struck at six places in Rawalpindi on Saturday and took away three vehicles, gold ornaments and cash, police said.

Omer Munir lodged a complaint with the Airport police, stating that burglars broke into his house when he along with his family was visiting some relatives. The accused made off with $1,200, Rs3,000 and two cell phones.

In another incident, burglars broke into Ghafoor Ahmed’s house in the Airport police area and looted five gold bangles, a CD player and Rs15,000 in cash.

Chaudhry Qurban Hussain told the Waris Khan police that gold ornaments valuing Rs8,200 were stolen from his house.

Meanwhile, Dr Asim Usmani lodged a complaint with the Pirwadhai police, stating that his car (KH-479-Islamabad) was lifted from outside his house, while Mohammad Khurshid told the New Town police that his car (RLA-1368) was also driven away by auto-thieves. Zafar Iqbal’s motorcycle (RLA-8903) was stolen from the R.A. Bazaar area. — Staff Reporter
