Woman, son killed in accident

SHEIKHUPURA, March 3: A woman and her son were killed while her husband, daughter and other son sustained injuries in an accident near Al-Saeed Chowk on Lahore Road on Saturday.

Shakil Ahmad was going to Sheikhupura from Sanda, Lahore, along with his family by a motorcycle.

A rashly driven tractor-trolley hit the motorcycle as a result of which his wife Saima and four-year-old son Dawood were killed on the spot. Shakil, his son Mohsin, 2, and daughter sustained serious injuries.

They were admitted to hospital.

SHOT DEAD: A BSc student, Ishtiaq, was shot dead by three robbers in his house in Khanpur village in the wee hours of Saturday when he put up resistance.
