SWABI, March 3: Members of the All Teachers Association called on Saturday for the immediate arrest of a local teacher’s murderers. They warned that if the killers were not arrested within three days they would launch a protest campaign.

Muhammad Khan, a teacher of the Government School Kalu Khan, was killed by unidentified people on Friday. His father-in-law told police that the deceased apparently had no enmity with anyone.

The motive for the killing was, therefore, not known. Police have registered an FIR against unidentified killers.

One Basit Khan was allegedly shot dead in Zaida by Mehmood Ali when he was on his way to his home. According to Muhammad Tahir, the father of the deceased, Basit and Mehmood had exchanged hot words after a kabaddi match in which their children took part.

Meanwhile, political leaders belonging to different parties demanded that the killers of three brothers — Ghulam Akbar, Abdul Akbar and Gul Akbar — and their nephew Akhtar Munir be arrested by police immediately.
