KARACHI: Customs’ new system

KARACHI, Feb 28: A new electronic system for the clearance of passengers unaccompanied baggage and import cargo has been introduced, at the airfreight unit at Karachi . This facility will be available round the clock to passengers as well as importers.

The inaugural ceremony of the new facility was presided over by Chairman C.B.R Mr. M. Abdullah Yousaf

The CBR chairman was told that this system is a step forwards reforms, and would facilitate passengers as well as importers.

The new system will provide the filing of Goods Delectation and cargo manifest electronically round the clock without any concept of holidays.

Director General Civil Aviation Authority Farooq Rehmatullah, Director General Airport Security Force Fayyaz Satti, Member Customs Shahid Rahim Sheikh, Collector Customs (Preventive) Mohammad Yahya and other officials were also at the ceremony to inaugurate the new facility.
