LONDON, Oct 19: British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said on Wednesday that majority of Pakistanis support President Gen Pervez Musharraf in his decision to support the international community’s fight to eliminate terrorism.
“If you look at the situation in Pakistan, it is palpable that majority of the population is supporting the very courageous stand of Gen Musharraf and his government,” Straw said.
He said every effort was being made that air strikes against Afghanistan were “proportionate and targeted.”—APP
