LAHORE, Feb 27: Under-21 teams of Pakistan and Bahrain will face each other in the second round of the 29th Olympics Games football qualifying round Group ‘A’ at the National Stadium, Manama, Bahrain on Wednesday.

The Pakistan team comprising 20 players and four officials reached Bahrain on Sunday.

It will be the sixth match between the two countries and the first ever between U-21 teams.

Like Pakistan, Bahrain have never qualified for Olympics finals. Bahrain’s chances are bright as their world ranking is 71 places better than Pakistan’s.

Twenty-four teams are taking part in the second phase of the qualifying rounds to be played on home-and-away basis.
