QUETTA, Feb 26: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) leader and Member of the National Assembly Maulana Noor Mohammad has said that the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has abandoned its manifesto and programme and, therefore, he has decided not to attend any meeting or event organised by the alliance.

He was talking to JUI-F delegations from different areas here on Sunday.

He said that the MMA had become a secular alliance and abandoned its programme and 17-point manifesto.

He said that Women Protection Bill had been declared to be in accordance with the Shariah, Mujahideen had been dubbed terrorists and statements had been issued against people fighting the US forces and damaging US interests.

The JUI-F leader said that Ulema who had issued decrees in favour of Jihad had been called criminals.

Maulana Noor Mohammad said that the MMA itself was an obstacle to the passage of Shariah bill in Balochistan, because it was a coalition partner in the Balochistan government.
