QUETTA, Feb 26: A high-level meeting held here on Monday decided to take foolproof security measures for the protection of life and property of people in Balochistan.

The meeting, presided over by Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Amanullah Yasinzai, reviewed overall security arrangements in courts, government buildings and public places.

Provincial Chief Secretary K.B. Rind, Inspector General of Police, Balochistan, Tariq Mehmood Khosa, Home Secretary Tariq Ayub, Secretary Finance Mahfooz Ali Khan, Secretary Law Abdullah Khan Kakar and officials of the district governments attended the meeting.

The Justice Yasinzai directed that unauthorised vehicles should be prohibited from entering the premises of courts and government buildings and separate parking should be arranged outside the buildings.

"In future no building without parking facilities should be allowed to be constructed in Quetta and other areas of the province.”

The chief justice directed the authorities concerned to shift all bus stands from Quetta to Hazargangi.

In was decided in the meeting that only government vehicles and those having proper stickers would be allowed entry in the government buildings. “No unattended vehicle will be allowed to be parked outside of the courts, government buildings and educational institutions.

It was also decided that boundary walls of district and session courts would be built for the safety of these buildings.

The meeting decided to establish a paid-parking place for 500 vehicles.
