BADIN, Feb 26: A woman, Janna Parhiar, resident of Gul Hassan Parhiar village, Badin taluka, allegedly strangulated her husband Urs Parhiar with the help of her paramour on Sunday night.

Mohammad Soomar Parhiar, brother of the deceased, lodged a complaint with the police, stating that his sister-in-law had illicit relations with Murtaza and both had killed Urs Parhiar by strangulating him.

The police have registered a case against Janna and Murtaza and arrested both of them.

The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Badin DPO Abdul Hadi Billo has put the two SHOs under suspension and awarded punishment to others, including forfeiture of the increments for two years, on charges of dereliction of duty.

SHO Mehmood Bhoot and Mukhtiar Ali Memon of Tando Ghulam Ali and Matli police stations, respectively, were placed under suspension.
