HYDERABAD, Feb 26: A man has alleged that his son has been missing after being picked up by the personnel of intelligence agencies.

Ghulam Rasool, resident of Bux Lakhair village in Dadu district and presently living in Sir Cowasjee Mental Hospital colony, told a press conference on Monday that his son Mushtaq Rasool, a nurse of the hospital, was picked up on January 22 and since then his whereabouts were not known.

He said that according to information he had received, his son had been complicated in a bomb blast case by the Thariri Mohabbat police, Mehar taluks, Dadu district.

He said that the bomb blasts had occurred on August 12 and 13, 2005 when his son was present on duty in the hospital. He said that it could be verified from the hospital record.

He appealed for justice and release of his son.

PWF: A five-day training programme on the subject of “Justice through para-legal” jointly organized by Pakistan Workers Federation and European Union (ISCOS) concluded here on Sunday evening.

Speaking as chief guest, the Central President of the Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union and PWF leader, Abdul Latif Nizamani, said that all the trade unions were democratic organizations which were working on voluntary basis to protect the legal and genuine rights of the working class.

He said as Collective Bargaining Agents, the trade unions were striving to improve the life standard of the workers.

Assistant project manager ISCOS Islamabad, Adil Nawaz, said that the union leaders, who have received training about para-legal, must transfer their knowledge to the workers and provide them legal assistance.
