PESHAWAR, Feb 24: The Bajaur Students Organisation has said that the agency has been deprived of a seat from its allocated quota of four seats for admission to the Khyber Medical College (KMC), Peshawar.

A meeting of the organisation held at the University of Peshawar demanded of the governor to take notice of “this violation of the quota policy”, said a press release issued here on Saturday.

The meeting was attended by the students from the Bajaur Agency studying at the KMC, University of Peshawar, Agriculture University, Engineering University and Islamia College Peshawar.

The participants of the meeting were informed that under the quota policy, each of the seven tribal agencies was allocated four seats for admission to the KMC while the six Frontier Regions (FRs) together had four seats. This year, only three students from the agency were given admission to the KMC while the fourth seat was given to the FRs without notifying any changes in the quota policy.
