LAHORE, Feb 23: Pakistan Veterans cricket team opened its tour of India on a victorious note, beating Indian Veterans team by four wickets at Udaipur on Friday.

According to information made available here, Pakistan captain Abdul Qadir won the toss and asked the home team to bat first on a lively wicket. The Indians were dismissed for 220 in allotted 50 overs. Their main scorers were Robin Singh (44), Manoj Prabhakar (35) and David Johnson (37). Qadir claimed three wickets for 33 runsand Ghaffar Kazmi took 3 for 39 while Arshad Khan captured two wickets for 36.

Pakistan Veterans reached the required target for the loss of six wickets. Notable scorers were Mansoor Akhtar (62), Amir Akbar (47), Ghulam Ali (41) and Shoaib Mohammad (39). For India, Narendra and Rajesh Chohan took two wickets each. —APP
