Chinese students join IIUI

ISLAMABAD, Feb 23: A group of 27 Chinese students have joined the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) for its bachelor of English language degree programme, faculty of Languages, Literature and Humanities.

The students including 10 girls and three non-Muslims have joined the university under an MoU signed between IIUI and Nin‘xiz University of China for promotion of bilateral relations in the field of education and higher studies.

The university organized a welcome party for Chinese students, which was attended among others by IIUI president Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui.

Speaking briefly on the occasion, Dr Siddiqui welcomed the students and said that Pakistan enjoys friendly relations with the People’s Republic of China and both the countries share the same feelings over the joys and pains of each other.

He assured the new students from China of his full support and said the university administration would try its best to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
