Farhan and Khurram for China

KARACHI, Feb 20: Reigning national Champion Farhan Mirza and Khurram Hussain Agha will represent Pakistan in Asian Snooker Championship being held at Gianmen City (Gongdong Province) from April 28 to May 5, Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) announced Wednesday.

Both earned the right to represent the country after they finished winner and runner-up in the recently concluded National Snooker Championship.

While Farhan of Lahore will be appearing in his 7th Asian event Khurram Agha will be making his Asian debut abroad. Khurram made his Asian championship debut at home in 1998.

Farhan reached the semi final of Asian championship at Bangkok in 1999.

Last year Muhammad Yousuf and Saleh Muhammad represented Pakistan in the Asian competition in Hong Kong.

He said PBSA was planning to conduct a short training camp of the cueists prior to their departure for China.—APP
