TOBA TEK SINGH, Feb 21: A divorced woman and one of her would-be kidnappers were killed in an exchange of fire between the suspects and the victim’s brother at Rajana on Tuesday night.

Reports said three people reached the house of a retired police sub-inspector Chaudhry Muhammad Siddiq in Madina Colony and attempted to kidnap his daughter Talat Bano. In the meantime, her brother Sarfraz, an Elite force constable, started firing on the intruders who also opened fire.

As a result of crossfire, Talat Bano and one of the intruders died on the spot while the two accomplices suffered injuries. The injured managed to escape on foot. The police have taken the car and body of the suspect into custody.
