Kidnappers arrested

SIALKOT, Feb 18: The Kotwali police claimed on Sunday to have recovered an abducted trader and arrested four kidnappers.

Sialkot DPO Zubair Nawaz Chatta told newsmen that a huge police contingent, led by Kotwali SHO Rana Zahid Husain, raided a den in outskirts of the Sialkot city, recovered Muhammad Akbar and arrested four kidnappers. The DPO did not disclose their names.

Reports said the accused had kidnapped Akbar from the city and demanded Rs0.5 million ransom for his release.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.
