NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 16: A jobless youth suffered severe burn injuries after he tried to commit self-immolation in a village near Kandiaro on Friday.

Sajjad Gopang, 18, resident of Ghazi Gopang village, told journalists in a Kandiaro hospital that he was poor and had been trying to get a job but had failed.

He said that options before him were either suicide or criminal activities and he preferred the first option.

He was referred to a Nawabshah hospital as the Kandiaro hospital lacks facilities to treat a burns patient.
