PESHAWAR, Feb 15: A monument would be built at the City Development and Municipal Department (CD&MD) headquarters in memory of late CCPO Malik Saad.

Malik Saad, the Peshawar police chief, died in a suicide bombing in the city on Jan 27.

Speaking at a condolence meeting here on Wednesday to pay homage to Malik Saad, CD&MD Director-General Engineer Sareer said the Tatara Square in the Phase-1 of Hayatabad had been renamed as the Malik Saad Shaheed Chowk besides naming a number of other roads, squares and important buildings after him. The meeting participants later went to the mausoleum of the police officer in Kohat, laid floral wreath and offered fateha.
