Wanted men arrested

LAHORE, Feb 12: Police claimed on Monday to have arrested dozens of alleged criminals and seized looted valuables and drugs besides illegal weapons from them in the last week.

According to operations police handout, police arrested 62 alleged robbers and thieves, 57 proclaimed offenders, 158 court absconders, 222 drug-peddlers, 92 gamblers and 174 people with illegal weapons.

The police confiscated valuables worth Rs1.544 million and seized a cache of drugs, liquor and illegal weapons from them.

STOLEN: Two cars (LWL-5957) were reportedly stolen from Liberty Market and Liaquatabad areas while a motorcycle (LXM-3466) from Misri Shah, one from Mozang and one Qila Gujjar Singh. —Staff Reporter
