PESHAWAR, Feb 12: The Gandhara Hindko Board will organise a two-day conference on Feb 17 entitled “Frontier Languages” in the city.

Representatives of 27 languages, including Pashto, Hindko, Kohwar, Seraiki, Goujri, Kohistani, Yedgha, Kalasha, Ishreeti, Domeili, Gorbeiti, Kataveri, Gawveri, Kamveri, Torwali, Ushojo, Broshuski, Domaki, Balti, Sheena, Wakhi, Wanesi, Cheliso, Urchuni, Bateri, Urmuri and Madaklashti, from the NWFP and the Northern Areas will attend the event.

To be held at the Archives Hall of the Directorate of Archives, of the Gandhara Hindko Board, the event will consist

of seven sessions, three on the first day and four on the second day.

An important aspect of the programme is the cultural items that the delegates would present to introduce their respective languages and cultures to fellow activists from other areas.

The invitation letters have already been issued to the delegates and members of the presidium.

Different committees such as Organizing Committee, Cultural Committee, Media Coordination Committee and Logistic Committee have been formed to hold the event in a befitting manner.
