Musharraf, Mubarak discuss ME plan

ISLAMABAD, Feb 11: President General Pervez Musharraf on Sunday called Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and apprised him of his discussions with leaders of Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran and Turkey for seeking a resolution of the Palestinian dispute and progress on the new initiative.

The president also apprised Mr Mubarak about his talks with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia held on Saturday in which Mr Aziz congratulated him over his efforts to promote reconciliation between the Fatah and Hamas.

The Egyptian president thanked President Musharraf for keeping him updated about the progress made so far.—APP
