Man hanged

QUETTA, Feb 10: A condemned prisoner in central prison Mach was hanged on Saturday and execution of two other prisoners were deferred for 15 days.

Jail officials identified the hanged prisoner as Allah Bux. He was awarded death penalty for killing his father-in-law, Najibullah, in Ahmedwal area of the Nushki district on Jan 27, 2002.

Meanwhile, the jail superintendent deferred the execution of Mohammad Amin and Akbar till Feb 27, as President Pervez Musharraf has accepted their request to grant them some time in view of negotiations under way for a compromise.
