UBAURO, Feb 9: Hundreds of people staged a sit-in on the National Highway near Kumoon Shaheed, the point separating Sindh and Punjab province, bringing the traffic on both sides of the highway to a halt on Friday to press for the arrest of all the people involved in gang rape of Ms Naseeban Labano.

The protest organised by Struggle Committee was led by Muhammad Issa Bhutto, STP leader Dr Mahtab Soomro and Jamaat Ahl-i-Sunnat leader Maulana Ghulam Rasool Farooqui. MPA Jam Mehtab Dahar told journalists that Ms Naseeban was under treatment at a hospital in Sukkur.—PPI
