Rs878m tools centre to be set up

LAHORE, Feb 5: The Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) will set up a state of the art tools, dies and moulds centre in Gujranwala.

According to TUSDEC spokesman here Monday, the main beneficiaries of this Rs878 million project would be the small and medium businesses which cannot make large investments required for such facilities.

GTDMC will enhance skills of 750 workers annually through training and help them play their due role in the development of Pakistan, he said.

The spokesman said that the land allocated for construction of Gujranwala TDM Centre was in the process of transfer.

The District Officer (Revenue) has already forwarded the case for issuance of NOC for transfer of the allocated land to the GTDMC. Three acres land has been allocated at the Sialkot bypass for this centre.—APP
