KARACHI, Feb 4: District Coordination Officer Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that milk will be sold at Rs28 per litre across the city and if the wholesalers or retailers charged more than the specified rate, they will be dealt with strictly.

The decision was taken on the recommendation of the committee formed in this connection by City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, at a meeting presided over by the DCO at his office on Saturday night.

The government will not accept any pressure from any quarter or a threat or call for strike in this regard, the DCO said.

EDO (E&IP) Hasan Abbas Naqvi, Additional EDO for Revenue Matanat Ali Khan, and President of the Milk Retailers Association Hafiz Nisar Gaddi attended the meeting. -- APP
