PIA flight cancelled

KARACHI, Feb 3: A PIA flight from Karachi to Panjgur, Balochistan, which was scheduled to operate on Thursday (Feb 1), had to be cancelled due to non-availability of fire-fighting facility at the Panjgur airport provided by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Passengers were provided accommodations for two days by the PIA at a hotel in Karachi.

The flight was rescheduled on Saturday (Feb 3), but till Saturday evening the fire-fighting facility at the airport could not be restored, resulting in cancellation of the flight.

The passengers were again sent to the hotel.—PPI
