HYDERABAD, Feb 3: People’s Party Parliamentarians MPA Zahid Ali Bhurgari, leader Parvez Ansari and others have accused the government of hatching a conspiracy to rig by-elections for the Kotri Provincial Assembly seat, scheduled for February 10, to ensure success of the ruling party candidate.

In a statement, they alleged that the district administration was running the campaign of the government candidate and using government machinery in this regard.

They said that the DCO had been sent on forced leave, PPP workers were being harassed and their houses were being raided by the police.

They appealed to the chief election commissioner to take notice of the election malpractices of the government party.

MEETING: District Returning Officer, Jamshoro, Mohammad Ishaque Memon on Saturday held a meeting with the candidates of three political parties taking part in the by-elections and explained to them the code of conduct.
