LAHORE, Feb 2: Pakistan's Subaib Club won the international handball tournament by beating Oman 2-1 in the final on Friday at Muscat.

According to information provided by President Pakistan Handball Federation, Syed Abid Qadri from Oman, the visiting side exhibited fine performance and proved too good for the host country in a three-game match, dominating with skilful moves and technique.

Pakistan on its way to the final, recorded impressive victories against Kuwait and Jordan but lost its last league match to Oman.

However, the greenshirts avenged their loss by defeating Oman in the ultimate show down in which goalkeeper Tahir Ali put up an awesome show and saved a number of goals. The other notable scorers were Naseer and Babar Sultan.—APP
