KARACHI, Feb 2: Several IT firms have shown their interest in making investments in the province and the Sindh government is likely to ink memorandums of understanding with some of these companies as their representatives are scheduled to visit the city next week.

This was stated by Sindh IT Adviser Noman Saigol here on Friday after his arrival from Singapore. He met many representatives of various renowned IT companies working in the Far East Asia.

Mr Saigol informed that the representatives of various IT companies had shown their interest to invest in Sindh as they had already completed several projects of e-policing, fire rescue service, medical rescue service, smart buildings, smart tourism, etc.

He said that keeping in view of the excellent performance of the Sindh Information Technology Department, the Sindh chief minister had extended the contracts of employees up to two years.

The adviser vowed to make the province a hub of IT and the Internet media city would play an important role in developing the IT sector where many educated youths could get better employment opportunities.
