KARACHI: Cable thieves leave KWSB in darkness

KARACHI, Feb 1: Unidentified persons took away copper wires belonging to the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation from the premises of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board twice during Muharram.

A KWSB official said that the cable had been cut during Muharram and was repaired on Wednesday, but thieves again stole it the following night, leaving the offices without power.

The KWSB employees are surprised how both incidents occurred in the presence of security guards.
