HYDERABAD: MMA slams government

Published January 29, 2007

HYDERABAD, Jan 28: Senior vice-president of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP) and central leader of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) Dr. Sahebzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair has demanded that the federal government should resign over its utter failure in controlling terrorist activities.

In a statement issued on Sunday he condemned the blast in Peshawar and said that anti-Islamic forces were engineering such acts to ignite sectarian riots in the country.

He said that all the religious parties were united on the platform of MMA and the anti-Islamic secular elements were trying to create rifts among the alliance members.

The terrorist activities were a proof that the government and its agencies had miserably failed he said.—Bureau
