LAHORE, Jan 25: Mauricio Devrient and David Bermal struck two goals each to help Good Will earn a sensational 5-4 win against Polo De Sufi in the Lindt Aibank Cup polo here on Thursday.

Good Will drew first blood through Asif Tiwana, who earned a field goal off a fine pass from Bermal in the very first minute of the first chukker. But Queco Dupont of the losing side converted a 30-yard penalty hit in the dying minute to be at even keel 1-1.

Back-to-back goals by Pablo Bagnardi helped the losers to come out with 3-2 lead in the second chukker. He crowned field efforts. Devrient struck his first for the winners.

The third chukker, however, was dominated by Good Will who scored three goals in a row without conceding any to lead 5-3. Bermal scored back-to-back on field attempts while Devrient his second, also a field goal.

The losers tried to catch up the rivals in the fourth chukker but they could score only through Dupont to lose the match.

Five-goal Iftikhar Ali Khan Simba propelled Diamond Paints/Al Khan to notch up 7-3 1/2 win against Abraaj Capital in the second match of the day.

Abraaj, having half goal handicap, made a stormy start, scoring three goals in the first chukker through Lucas Di Paola (2) and Taimur Ali Malik (1).

The winners staged a fine comeback from the second chukker scoring seven goals in a row till the end of third chukker to complete the tally as no goal was added in the fourth chukker. Chris Hyde started the rally, scoring a goal in the second chukker while Iftikhar scored his all five goals in the third. Dhruvpal Godara chipped in with a goal in the dying minute.
