KARACHI: ITNE reserves judgments

KARACHI, Jan 25: The Chairman Implementation Tribunal for Newspaper Employees, Justice (retd) Tanvir Bashir Ansari, reserved judgments on Thursday in as many as 124 cases relating to the implementation of the Seventh Wage Board Award.

The chairman reserved the judgments in 58 cases of employees of Javed Press and 61 cases of employees of Independent Newspaper Corporation (Jang Group). Besides, he also reserved judgments in five cases of employees of the Dawn Group of Newspapers.

The newspapers employees were represented by Shafiuddin Ashraf, Chairman Apnec Faiz Ghangro advocate and Khalilur Rehman. The newspapers’ owners were represented by advocates of the Supreme Court, M. Ali Mazhar and M. Hamayoon. The ITNE will continue to hear the cases at Qasr-i-Naz till January 27.——Staff Reporter
