LAHORE, Jan 24: Fine batting by Ali Azmat and Rizwan Malik guided Lahore Ravi to 331 for six in their first innings against Quetta on the first day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League tie at the LCCA Ground here on Wednesday.

Ali Azmat was batting with 92 against his name while Rizwan hit 80 as Lahore Ravi, who have lost all three matches so far this season, made good recovery after being 198 for five, having lost the toss.

Ali Azmat, who has hit 13 boundaries in his 136-ball innings, and wicket-keeper-batsman Adnan Akmal (52, nine fours) featured in a sixth-wicket stand of 111.

Earlier, Rizwan, who slammed 12 fours in a 156-ball knock, added 98 for the third-wicket with Adnan Raza (34).

Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, who is playing in this match to prove his fitness in a bid to make the team for the forthcoming ODIs against South Africa, scored just 15 before he was bowled by off-spinner Naseer Khan.

Naseer and medium-pacer Arun Lal bagged two wickets each.
