LAHORE, Jan 24: Robbers struck four times and took away cash and valuables here on Wednesday.
Some armed men intercepted Shahzad in Qila Gujjar Singh and snatched cash, jewellery and his motorcycle at gunpoint.
A passer-by was deprived of his cell phone in front of a bank in Shadman.
Two robbers deprived a passer-by of his cell phone in the Factory Area, while as many armed men snatched a cell phone from a rickshaw driver in Garden Town.
Three robbers burst into the house of Mohammad Faqir in Shahdara and took away cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs100,000.
Robbers riding a pick-up intercepted Jameel in Umer Block, Iqbal Town, and snatched Rs25,000 in cash from him.
Two gun-toting men deprived Asad of Rs17,000 on Iqbal Road in Shadbagh.
Robbers intercepted motorcyclist Arif and his wife in Gulshan Ravi and snatched Rs12,000 and three gold rings from them.
STOLEN: Four cars were driven away from Civil Lines, Lower Mall, Muslim Town and Gawalmandi areas, respectively, while three motorcycles were stolen from Ichhra, Old Anarkali and Civil Lines, respectively.
GANGS BUSTED: Gulberg, Muslim Town and Harbanspura police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested nine members of three gangs and seized looted valuables besides illegal weapons from their possession.
Gulberg police arrested Riaz, Asif, Kashif, Bilal and Ashraf of Baba car-lifters gang and recovered a car besides illegal weapons from them.
Muslim Town police nabbed a motorcycle-lifter Mirza Mohammad Baig and recovered two motorcycles from him.
Harbanspura police apprehended Arshad, Zahid and Basit of the Lafantar gang and seized six cell phones and illegal weapons.
