KARACHI, Jan 24: Seven ships carrying chemicals, containers and to load kinoo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Southern Atlas, oil tanker, Raban-1 to unload cars, APL Osaka, Y.M. Faha to unload and load containers and Glykofiloussa to offload coal were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships which departed included Pu He, Global Progress, Lalazar and Southern Atlas, while APL Osaka, Oel Esteem, Hyundai Highway and Tower Bridge are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 61,140 tons comprising 41,775 tons of export cargo including 2,190 tons of rice and 17,091 tons of clinker and 19,365 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Al-Marwah with chemicals, Orient Independence Bagdad, SP-5 Eric-G, Soon Fu with containers, Pretty Lady with coal and Cherry Star to load 1,650 tons of tons of kinoo.
