KHAIRPUR, Jan 23: Activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) on Tuesday brought out a procession in protest against the disappearance of three party workers following their arrest a day earlier.

JSQM District President Amjad Mahessar and Fayaz Khamisani said that police picked up Sikandar Almani, Deedar Almani, Akhtiar Almani and Zulfiqar Almani in Faizabad Colony on Monday.

They let go Mr Zulfiqar after severely torturing him on Tuesday but the remaining three had been missing since then, they said.

The procession, which was also addressed by Ayoub Lashari, Gulzar Sindhi, Ghazi Naimatullah and district president of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam started from Maryam Toap Chowk and marched on different roads of the city before staging a demonstration at the Panj Gullo Chowk.

The protesters then also observed a token hunger strike on the Court Road.
