‘FINA agrees to provide coaches’

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20: The South Asian Swimming and Water Polo Championship will be held here in September while international swimming coaches impart training to local swimmers from August, Pakistan Swimming Federation president Kamran Lashari said on Saturday.

He was talking with reporters after annual general council meeting of the federation.

“This will be the biggest international swimming competition in Pakistan,” the PSF president said.

“International Swimming Federation (FINA) has acceded to our request to provide qualified coaches from countries such as Hungary to hold coaching clinics,” Lashari said.

They, he said, would also transfer latest techniques to Pakistan coaches.—APP
