KARACHI, Jan 17: City Nazim Mustafa Kamal has promised job for a relative of each fireman, who lost his life in the line of duty in Monday’s fire incident.

He said the official accommodation of the deceased firemen would be allotted to their bereaved families.

Offering his condolence to the bereaved families at their homes, he prayed for the departed souls and presented Rs500,000 cheque to each family. Fire Brigade Department officials including Yasir Iqbal, Javed Ahmed, Imtiazul Haq, Safeer Ahmed, Farid Ahmed and Muhammad Naeem lost their lives while Ishtiaq Ahmed and Yasin were wounded when roof of a garment godown fell on the firemen who were busy in fire fighting operation.
