Sialkot hit back after conceding lead

LAHORE, Jan 13: Two quick blows by Sarfraz Ahmed brought Sialkot back into the match against Faisalabad on the second day of the Quaid-i-Azam Gold League at the Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot on Saturday.

Sarfraz dismissed Asif Hussain and Usman Arshad for ducks as Faisalabad, after gaining a 28-run lead on the first innings, lost advantage as they were reeling at 4-58 in the second innings by close of play.

Imran Ali was at the crease with 41.

Earlier, Sialkot resumed their 26 for one and despite a captain’s knock by Imran Nazir (72 off 97 balls, 10 fours and one six) and half-century by Ijaz Ahmed (52, eight fours) were all out for 222 in 58.2 overs in reply to Faisalabad's total of 250.
