HYDERABAD, Jan 13: Veteran labour leader, Mohammad Bux Baloch, died of cardiac arrest in the early hours of Saturday. He was 72 and leaves behind five daughters, two sons and a widow to mourn his death.

Baloch was a committed PPP worker and a union leader of SRTC where he spent a considerable time of his life.

He was very close to the founder of PPP, late Z. A. Bhutto and other senior members of the party.

He was also put behind bars for one year, when a large number of PPP workers were arrested during Bhutto's struggle against dictatorship.—Bureau
