Rs5 million robbery in warehouse

LAHORE, Jan 10: Robbers struck 18 times in the city on Wednesday and took away cash and valuables worth millions of rupees. Four robbers riding a truck came to a soap warehouse in the Chuhng area, tied the employees, loaded the truck with soaps and razors worth Rs5 million and managed their escape.

The police registered a case on the complaint of warehouse manager Amjad.

Robbers stormed into the cell shop of Afzal in Shahdara, held up the people at gunpoint and escaped with Rs150,000 in cash, 18 cell phones and calling cards.

Robbers entered a store at Kharak Stop in Sabzazar and escaped with cash, cell phones and valuables.

Armed men barged into the house of Ashfaq in Kot Lakhpat and fled after looting cash and valuables.

Unidentified robbers burst into the house of Imam Din in Mughalpura and took away cash and valuables.

Two swindlers in Rangers uniform deprived Bashir of Rs100,000, jewellery and wristwatches worth Rs50,000 besides his passport and ID card in the Nawankot area.

They first started conversation with Bashir, who boarded a bus from Yateem Khana Chowk to reach Sabzazar, and then gave him some poisonous biscuits after which he fell unconscious.

Robbers burst into the office of Shahid in the Naseerabad area, held him and his guests at gunpoint and took away Rs60,000 in cash, six cell phones, two gold rings and a television.

Two armed men intercepted Iqbal in the Factory Area and snatched Rs6,000 and a cell phone from him while as many robbers intercepted three friends in Tariq Block, Garden Town, and deprived them of three cell phones and cash.

STOLEN: Six cars were driven away from Garden Town, Iqbal Town, Shalimar, Misri Shah, Wahdat Colony and Johar Town areas, respectively, while three motorcycles were stolen from Misri Shah, Jauhar Town and Mustafabad areas, respectively.
